K. D. Ushinsky was born on February 19, 1983. His father was a retired officer, a participant in the war with the French in 1812. His family belonged to the small landed gentry. Konstantin's mother died very early, in 1835. Ushinsky is considered one of the founders of scientific pedagogy in Russia. The biography of Konstantin Dmitrievich is well-known and still remains on everyone's lips in pedagogy. The central idea of K.D. Ushinsky's pedagogical theory is the idea of public education, where education is created by the people themselves and is based on popular principles which has educational power not found in other systems.
