Mass media in Uzbekistan refers to a section of the media specifically designed to reach a very large audience, including the population of the nation state. The term was coined in the 1920s with the introduction of nationwide radio networks, mass-circulation newspapers, and magazines. It encompasses various forms of media such as books, manuscripts, newspapers, television, radio, and Internet media, including blogs, message boards, podcasts, and video sharing platforms. The term "MSM" or "mainstream media" is often used to discuss the mass media and media bias.
