Al-Xorazmiy, also known as Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, was a famous scholar who lived at the end of the 8th century and the beginning of the 9th century. He was born in Khwarazm around 780. Al-Khwarizmi was active in Baghdad during the Abbasid Caliphate, achieving great success in the fields of algebra and arithmetic. His work "Al-Kitab al-Mukhtasar fi Hisab al-Jabr wa-l-Muqabala" is considered foundational in algebra, with the term "algebra" originating from his work. Al-Khwarizmi also introduced Hindu-Arabic numerals and initial algorithms to Europe. He passed away in 850
